Who or what are we?

What does dreamt insanity taste like? Like Avant-Progressive Rock. This band cradles you from song to song and makes music a long forgotten experience of colourful sounds. One man (Mad Madze), obsessed by his six-string axe leads the musical army of guitar, female vocals (Mariam Davis), sax (Leo Z), trumpet (WTFinn), keyboard (Magic Marx), Bass (El Lexx) and Drums (Monsieur Helsper).

Where do we come from?

There once was a guitarist. He was... let's just say "different". In the sommer of 2007 in the far away land called Hintertaunus he looked up a keyboarder, who was also "different", to work on a project of a "different" kind. The goal was to create music that was the exact opposite of the music running on the radio. Quickly other "different" people joined and the group realized they were there to serve a purpose. That was the birth of Tuxedo Paint System. They gave their music a new meaning and introduced it to the public, but they never lost sight of their original goal. And they rocked happily ever after.

What makes Tuxedo Paint System special?

In spite of different personalities and taste of music we work together very well as people and as musicians. Seven members is a lot for a band, but we always manage to combine our preferences and ideas. Only together are we Tuxedo Paint System. Our friends and fans usually don't just like our music, but also the people behind it and the performance we offer with our songs.

What does that weird name mean anyway?

The "tuxedo" represents the formal and serious part of our music and image. The splattered paint stands for variety, insanity and creativity. The "system" is the system behind the chaos. It's what makes a group of people a band. It's combining creativity into a system. It's connecting variety to a unit. And even if we're crazy, we're not silly. A functioning band is the artistic balance of order and anarchy.

Where are we going?

We've already collected quite a bit of band-experience, but there is no limit to learning. Our current goals are for the near future. To feed the stage addiction of some of the members we want to try to get more gigs. Normal, strange, big, small, good, ... aaaand that's it!... Step by step we work our way to the next stage. So not even we know what comes after that.
